How big is a large file?
Email servers around the world all have different size restrictions. When the size
limit is reached, the message may bounce and you may receive a delivery failure.
Other times the message might just be deleted and you might not even know it.
What kind of files can I send?
You can send any type of file: music, videos, pictures, high quality graphics, presentations,
artwork, web sites, reports, databases, and any other type of file you can imagine.
How does it work?
You just upload your files using our simple web interface which shows you the upload
progress during the upload. The files are stored on our secure servers. An email
message is automatically sent to the recipient of the file with the link for downloading
the file. The recipient clicks the link and is able to download the file immediately
using only a standard web browser.
How much does it cost?
You can send files of up to 512 megabytes for free, the files can be
downloaded up to 10 times and expire after 7 days.
Free registration gives you the following benefits:
- Email verification assures recipients that you are a "Verified" sender
- Receive secure files using SSL encryption
- Track and manage the files you have sent or received
- Download files that were sent to you as long as they remain active at SureSend.com
A premium account gives you the following additional benefits:
- Send files of up to 2 gigabytes in size
- Send files using SSL encryption, and ensure that the files are only downloaded by
the intended recipient using SSL encryption
- Receive unlimited files up to 2GB in size from other users regardless of whether
they have a premium account or not
- Request a delivery receipt when the recipient downloads the file
- Files you send can remain active for up to 30 days
- Files you send can be downloaded up to 30 times
- Send files to multiple recipients and re-send files you have already uploaded
- An upload link you can give out or place on your web site for your users to easily
send you files
Is it secure?
Your files are stored on our secure servers and can only be downloaded using a special
download link. There is no way to just guess the name of the file, it can only be
downloaded using the special download link which contains a special code. With the
premium account, security is further enhanced by requiring the recipient to
register and validate their email address before downloading the file.
How do I send multiple files to the same recipient?
The best way to send multiple files is to compress them into a zip file before uploading
them. Your recipient will then only need to download one file and then decompress
the files on their computer.
What upload and download speeds can I expect?
Upload speed will be limited by the upstream speed of your connection. Once uploaded,
files are downloaded directly from our servers that have lightning fast connections
from multiple providers. We do not throttle download speed, downloads will likely
be limited by the downstream speed of the recipient's connection.
